Canadian Blue Cross for dental plan misleading information.
Sent me a Letter my Dental Plan was "effective June 1st, 2017".
I went to the Dental Office Oct. 10, 2017 and gave the Letter and card to the
Dental Staff and she said it was OK to get me Exrays and exam too!!!
When she phoned in- I was denied and the bill was $200 dollars. I am on
a Very Small Pension and 71 years old. They told her I had to wait 6 -Six months
after the "effective June 1st, 2017" which would be Dec. 2, 2017. They told me it was in their booklet - NOT IN THE LETTER WHERE IT SHOULD BE, FOR SENIOR'S ETC.!!!
The Dental Office staff said this is fraudulent (adjective-1. characterized by, involving, or proceeding from fraud, as actions, enterprise, methods, or gains:a fraudulent scheme to evade taxes.) and Canadian Blue Cross for dental plan misleading information.
In the letter they sent me there was NOTHING mentioned about a 6-Six month Waiting period which they should have -" they no you would go to the dentist and get an exam and Exrays and they would Save a Fortune and Very New Client" I feel it is a $$$MONEY SCAM!!!!. PREYING ON SENIORS LIKE ME!!!! NASTY PEOPLE!!!
I went to Small Claims to see if I could get my Money back or Paid for - It costs $100 dollars. and they have the BEST Lawyers, too... They gave me a Legal Aid card, but he only does Family Law???? sad- Gussie Postlewaite- 902-563-2085- F-902-563-563-2224,www.nslegalaid.ca.

Market Place on CBC did a show on HOW these companies get away with it..
